Woot is offering the Nest 3rd (current) generation thermostat for $199 today only. This is $30 to $50 off of list price, depending on where you shop, and puts this at the same price as the 2nd generation Nest. While there are occasional price fluctuations for this latest Nest thermostat, it is rare to see the current generation device on sale this far away from the holidays.
If you’re not familiar with the Nest, just ring your call button and Tommy will come back there and hit you on the head with a tack hammer. Also, it’s one of the best high end thermostats available, and possibly the catalyst for the current smart home revolution.

On top of its exceptional set of standard features, Nest has recently added family accounts, allowing multiple accounts to be associated with your home. They have also added the ability to track your location via your phone (geolocation) so it can get a better picture of when you are home or away.
